Dress Code

DRESS CODE POLICY

These policies are in place for a reason.  Please respect the dress code policies as they are written. TIGHTS ARE ALWAYS REQUIRED anytime a dancer is wearing a leotard or dance shorts. Our instructors will not allow you to take part in class class due to non-compliance of the following policies.

 

  1. Ballet classes:

Pre-Dance –ballet shoes, leotards and tights.

Beginner levels through Beginner Intermediate I – leotard, pink tights and ballet shoes.

Beginner Intermediate I- Advanced levels –black leotard, pink tights, real ballet shoes (NOT the brown lyrical shoes) and dance belt (Miss Lauren has these and will provide the belt, but it is your responsibility to bring this with you to ballet class).

All Levels – Hair must be up and out of the face.

You will be asked to sit out of class if you do not come adhere to these policies

 

  1. Jazz, Lyrical and Modern classes–dance pants, dance shorts, fitted t-shirt or dance shirt – lyrical shoes. If wearing loose fitting shorts, fitted dance shorts must be worn underneath them. If only wearing dance shorts, tights MUST be worn, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Hair should up be up and out of the face.  For levels Beginner Intermediate II and up, shoes must be purchased at the office.
  1. Tap classes – dance pants, dance shorts, fitted t-shirt or dance shirt – Black flat tap shoes. If wearing loose fitting shorts, fitted dance shorts must be worn underneath them. If only wearing dance shorts, tights MUST be worn, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Hair should be up and out of the face.
  1. Hip Hop classes – comfortable clothing, shorts, t-shirts, etc. No street shoes may be worn in class.  If only wearing dance shorts, tights MUST be worn, NO EXCEPTIONS. Hair should be up and out of the face.
  1. No big jewelry is to be worn in any class.
