LAUREN SEIGMAN
Lauren started dancing at age of 5 at The School of Music and Dance.
She started assisting at the age of 12 and teaching classes at age 14.
She enhanced her training at the Rock School of PA Ballet, Governors
School for The Arts, CPYB, Broadway Dance Center, Steps on
Broadway. She had the opportunity to work with master
choreographers and teachers. After High School Lauren won a
presidential scholarship for the University of the Arts as well as a
Scholarship to the Edge Performing Arts in LA, where she lived and
worked for several months. Lauren has won several stand-out awards
for her exceptional choreography.
Lauren bought The School of Music and Dance in 2006. And is now
Owner, Artistic Director of The Nebula Performing Company and
choreographer for Company Elite Competition Team.
KENDRA SWARTZ
Kendra started dancing at the age of 3 at The School of Music and
Dance. Like her sisters, Kendra has trained at numerous well-
known dance centers throughout the country. Kendra has been
teaching at SMD for the past 6 years. In those 6 years, Kendra has
won several awards for her superior and unforgettable
choreography. Kendra spent 2014-15 training at the famed Joffrey School of Ballet in
New York City. The Joffrey program trains dancers in the classical ballet
technique and artistry. During this time she performed with the Joffrey
School of Ballet, the American Swiss Ballet Choreography Show, and
Teeksvision Choreography Showcases. Kendra will be spending some
time this summer in NYC at American Ballet Theater getting certified in
their ballet teacher certification program.
MALLORIE SWARTZ
Mallorie started dance at the age of 3 at The School of
Music and Dance and she joined Nebula at that time. She
competed with the company through High School. She
enhanced her dance training at CPYB, Broadway Dance
Center, and Governor School for The Arts. She has been
teaching at SMD for the past 11 years. She has won
several choreography awards for her outstanding work
TAYLOR HAHN
Taylor Hahn is a former student of The School of Music Dance and has been dancing for over 17 years.  In 2017 she received her Bachelor of Art in Dance and Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Slippery Rock University.  While at SRU, Taylor was a co-director for the Rock Dance Company, a student assistant for Slippery Rock University Dance Theater (SRUDT), and president for the National Honor Society for Dance Arts. During her many years of training Taylor has taken master classes and performed for many renowned artists.  She has choreographed for SRUDT, the SRU Theater Department, Rock Dance Company, High School Musical Departments and other performances.  Taylor received the award “Outstanding Dance Teacher” from her faculty at Slippery Rock University.  Taylor is excited to be teaching at SMD to share her love and knowledge of dance with others.
HALEY MYERS
Haley has been dancing for 14 years and has taken all different styles
of dance including tap, ballet, hip-hop, jazz, and contemporary. She
has competed at countless competitions and has taken master classes
from famous choreographers some of which include Tyce Diorio, Mark
Kanemura, Lindsley Allen, and many others. Haley, not only once a
student at The School of Music & Dance, has also been an
assistant/substitute at the studio for the past 3 years. She is very
excited to be on staff at SMD this year!
DENISE STAMM
Denise danced for over 30 years and has been a
teacher at The School Of Music & Dance since 1990.
She has performed with The Concert Dance
Company while attending Indiana University of
Pennsylvania. Denise has taken numerous classes
taught by a former Radio City Rockette to further her
dance education.
